The Palm Bay Animal Clinic Pet Care Guide

Our Pet Care Guide is currently being worked on. In the near future, we will be adding a wide assortment of videos and narratives on routine pet care practices that you can perform. So please, check back on a regular basis for these upcoming vidoes.

Currently we have the two narratives listed below, and the videos to accompany them are expected shortly.

  • Cleaning Your Dog's Ears

Cleaning your dog’s ears on a routine basis is very important, especially for the warm, moist climate of Florida, dogs that go swimming, and dogs with long, floppy ears. The frequency of this can vary from every two weeks to once every couple of months.

  • Trimming Nails

Trimming your pet’s nails is a simple yet important step in routine care. Trimming the nails routinely, every 2-4 weeks, will help keep your pet from scratching you, your friends, or your furniture. It is also important so that the “quick” (blood supply to the nail) does not grow, preventing you from being able to trim the nails thoroughly enough.
